

Safrane is a variety of potato that gives yellow-fleshed tubers. Their regular shapes allow them to have a beautiful presentation. Easy to cultivate, the Safrane offers a good yield as well as a fairly large proportion of large tubers.

Descriptive characters
Tubercle: Oblong elongated, regular, very superficial eyes, yellow skin, pale yellow flesh.
Germ: Purplish-red, conical, low to medium hairiness.
Plant: Low-sized, spreading, leafy type.
Stem: Very low pigmentation, with pronounced wings, rectilinear and wavy.
Leaf: Light green, semi-glossy, slightly divided, half-open; leaflet large, rounded oval (I = 1.40); planar limb.
Flowering: Rarely abundant.
Flower: White, green floral bud.
Fructification: Absent or very rare.
